Chronicles of Myrtana is a sort of prequel to Gothic 1 (but only when it concerns the state of the world) made by fans. It captures the atmosphere of the originals and unlike some mods is not unforgivingly difficult. It is aimed at people who know how to play a Gothic game though. As for what was so good about the series? Loads of reasons.

I just finished this ^ quest. Are there absolutely no repercussions for Huug leading us into a trap? Runar and Marvin beat the thugs at midnight by Inno's shrine. The next day Runar feels relieved, the firemage pleased, etc But there's no dialogue with Huug whatsoever? He betrayed a paladin --> therefore the firemages. And the main protagonist. But there are no repercussions.. Did I miss
Do you maybe have Gothic 2 installed? Because folder named Saves is a storage for saves files. Maybe they overlap? Irrelevant, I have Gothic 2 installed as well. It is in a completely different directory. The "mod" is not a mod at all, their repository is a replica of the Gothic 2 folder with extra mod files added.
