If you're interested in a light norn class and not specifically mesmer, I actually think norn elementalist fits the lore all right. Being a nuke-y dps class still fits the directness of the race, and lightning hammer probably fits norn best. Most of the racial attunement dialog is usually very simple "Fire!" and "Air!" Warriors are masters of weaponry who rely on speed, strength, toughness, and heavy armor to survive in battle. Adrenaline fuels their offensive power—the longer warriors stay in a fight, the more dangerous they become. While you're right that there were no official informations about class change, the unofficial version is that, while it is a bit easier to make class change than race change (because with class you don;t have to deal with personal story issues), due to how both things are coded in the game, it's not all that much easier. Race is flavor only, changing some parts of the story and dialogues. Most racial skills are useless, and this is by design. Some racial skills are useful at endgame, because the good skills were nerfed, but it should change soon. You can create a good thief with any race you want, so no worries. Have fun :D. For class, maybe necro since they have a couple skills that summon little minions that look like deformed little rats. You can pick any class you want. You might want to consider ranger since they can have pets and maybe one of them is rodent-like, or mesmer if you want to spam clones of yourself everywhere. I think there are a lot of options Even variations of existing races would feel fresh enough to revitalize things as a new race (dark elves and light elves in other games etc). But honestly, with this expansion, we did not even get new character customization options so the idea of a new race/class seems further than ever.
