Thecar has just over 90,000 miles on the clock and according to the service history the belt has not yet been changed. The dealer sells quite a few Audis and insists that this won't need to be done until approx. 114,000 miles. Not sure I would be happy leaving a belt so long between Simplyway to check them belt is to pull the cover off. Really simple to do. Make sure to change the tensioner with the belt. Highly recommend you do your drive belt at the same time. As for the water pump replacement, I still haven't done that. I'm up for my third belt in 5K miles, (210,000 miles) and I don't intend on replacing it. Anotherissue I see time and time again is a low mileage car with no timing belt change. This car could be 7-10 years old, 30-50k miles. Originally Audi set a mileage change interval in their handbooks (typically over 100,000 miles for a diesel) but around May 2014 (date, not car manufacturing date) they introduced an overriding 5-year recommendation if the mileage was lower.
